Lewis began his career at the end of his time in the Air Force by working at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Afterward, he landed a job at Bush Gardens where he was an entertainer eating fire, juggling and throwing knives. This series brings back his early years.
As a sculpture glass artist, I have started a new series of entertainers from the world of street entertainers over time. This series are musicians, jesters, clowns, fire eaters, jugglers, dancers and animals. These figures are 4 to 7 inches tall before posted on black marble. I am in the process of making a collection for the Gallery at the Glass Craft Bead Show in Las Vegas on April 5th - 7th. I will also be teaching on the 8th and 9th in Las Vegas after the show where I will show one of the merry minstrels.
